On Thursday 29th February, 2024, the Ho West District Education Oversight Committee ( DEOC) held its meeting to discuss various issues affecting education as part of ensuring continuous improvement of educational standards in the district.
Present at the meeting were the District Chief Executive, members of the District Oversight Education Committee, District Coordinating Director, all Heads of Senior High and Technical Schools in the district.
The Committee discussed the Annual Performance Review of 2023 activities to assess achievements and areas for improvement, reports on planned activities for first quarter 2024, measures to safeguard school land boundaries against encroachment and the introduction of DCE Special Initiatives on Peer Learning Model aimed at forestering collective learning among students.
The District Education Directorate presented potential strategies aimed at enhancing basic education in the district.
